How to use Chaseplan, answers to common questions, known limitations, and how to reach a human when something is not working.
01 / GETTING STARTED
Turn an overdue invoice into a plan in four steps.
- Go to the App page — chaseplan-p1.agen2ic.ai/app. You will see a form with fields for your invoice details.
- Enter the invoice information — invoice reference, amount, currency, issue date, and due date. The only optional fields are the late fee (from your own contract) and the number of planned chase steps.
- Tell us how the client usually responds — the dropdown has four options ranging from "pays after one reminder" to "ignores until final notice". This controls how quickly the steps escalate. If you are unsure, choose "usually pays late" — the default — which spaces the steps 3, 5, 7, and 10 days apart.
- Generate and use your plan — click the button and the dated plan appears below the form. Each step shows a date, a tone (Friendly reminder → Follow-up → Reminder → Final notice), and a complete message draft. Copy individual drafts to your clipboard, or download the full plan as a text file.
The plan also tells you when to stop chasing — a date two weeks after the final step, after which continued pursuit is unlikely to be worth the effort. Chaseplan does not send anything; every message is yours to send from your own email.
02 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Six questions that come up most often.
How do I know if my invoice is overdue enough to use Chaseplan?
Any unpaid invoice past its due date qualifies — even one day overdue. Chaseplan calculates the overdue period from the due date you enter, not from when you remember to start chasing. If the due date is today or earlier, a plan will be generated. The plan adapts to the overdue duration: a plan for an invoice due yesterday looks different from one due 90 days ago.
The overdue count shows zero or a negative number — what is wrong?
Check the due date you entered. If the due date is in the future, Chaseplan shows "0 days overdue (due today)" or "not yet due" because the invoice is not yet past its payment deadline. Change the due date to an earlier date if you need a plan today. If the dates look correct and the number is still unexpected, check that your browser's date and time are set accurately — the calculation uses your device's current date.
Can I edit the message drafts before sending them?
Yes. Every draft is displayed as plain text with placeholders like [Client Name], [Payment Method], and [Your Name]. Copy the draft to your clipboard, paste it into your email or messaging app, and replace the placeholders with the actual details before sending. The download-as-text-file option gives you the full plan in a single text file you can edit in any text editor.
Does Chaseplan send the emails or messages for me?
No. Chaseplan has no email sender, no API integration, and no way to send anything on your behalf. Every generated message is a draft that you copy and send from your own email account, messaging platform, or postal service. This is a deliberate design choice: your communication stays under your control, and no data about the invoice or the client ever leaves your browser.
Is my invoice data safe? Do you store what I enter?
Nothing is stored. Chaseplan runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. There is no server, no database, no account system, and no backend. When you enter an invoice reference, amount, or client information, that data exists only in your browser's memory until you close the tab or click Clear. Even the calculation happens on your device. The page makes no network requests except to load the font files and the page itself. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.
The mock checkout on the Pricing page — can I use my real credit card?
No. The checkout form on the Pricing page is a visual simulation in test mode only. It accepts test card numbers (like 4242 4242 4242 4242) and simulates a successful payment without charging any real card. No real transaction reaches any financial network. The page displays a clear "Test mode" banner. If you see an error, support contact information will be published here when available.
03 / KNOWN LIMITATIONS
What Chaseplan does not do, and what is not built yet.
Transparency about limitations helps you decide whether the tool fits your situation. These are the boundaries of what Chaseplan can and cannot do today.
- No email sender Chaseplan generates message drafts that you copy and send yourself. There is no email-sending capability, no SMTP integration, and no automation that sends reminders on your behalf. Every draft is a template, not an outbound message.
- No accounting or invoicing integration The tool does not connect to Freshbooks, Xero, QuickBooks, Wave, or any other accounting platform. All data stays in your browser — there is no import, export, or sync beyond downloading a plain text file.
- No legal or financial advice Chaseplan cannot tell you what late fee or interest rate you are entitled to charge. Those depend on your jurisdiction, your contract, and applicable law. The late-fee field uses the value you enter from your own agreement; if you do not provide one, none is assumed. The draft messages state the overdue period factually — they do not assert a legal right to any specific amount beyond the original invoice.
- No account system or saved history There is no sign-in, no user account, and no way to save plans between visits. Every session starts from a blank form. Download your plan as a text file if you need to reference it later.
- Mock payment processing only The checkout form on the Pricing page is a visual simulation. No real card has ever been charged through Chaseplan. The form shows a success state when filled in — no payment data is collected or transmitted. If a live payment feature is introduced in future, it will be clearly documented and the billing terms on the Terms of Service page will be updated before any charges are applied.
- No mobile app Chaseplan is a website designed for desktop and tablet browsers. It works on mobile — the layout adapts — but there is no dedicated iOS or Android application.
